Our Community Pass program, first launched in 2018, makes bike share more accessible and affordable. Now even more people can enjoy the benefits of biking in Vancouver through discounted memberships and cash payment options.
You may qualify for this pass if you have a
– Leisure Access Pass
– Red Compass Card
– Greater Vancouver Food Bank Membership Card
– Proof of Annual Income Less Than $31,000
– Third Party Referral from a Community Partner organization
– A Persons With Disabilities Designation

FAQ
The Community Pass works to make bike share more accessible to more people. When you sign up for your Community Pass, the pass will be valid for 365 days from the sign-up day.
There are three options for the Community Pass:
Classic Bike Pass
The classic pass offers unlimited 60-minute rides in a 365-day period. Rides longer than 60 minutes incur overage fees of $0.25/minute. This pass only provides you access to classic bikes.
Classic Bike & Ebike Pass
The Classic & Ebike Pass offers unlimited 60-minute rides on Classic Bikes. Rides longer than 60 minutes incur overage fees of $0.25/minute.
AND
$0 to unlock + $0.15/minute for the first 60 minutes on Ebikes. Once you exceed 60 minutes in a single ride, the rate changes to $0.35/minute.
This pass is not available to youth under the age of 19.
Persons With Disabilities (PWD) Classic Bike & Ebike Pass
This pass is available to Persons with Disabilities who may use ebikes for more convenient, accessible transportation around the city.
The PWD classic & ebike pass offers unlimited 60-minute rides on Classic Bikes. Rides longer than 60 minutes incur overage fees of $0.25/minute.
AND
$0 to unlock + $0/minute for the first 60 minutes on Ebikes.Once you exceed 60 minutes in a single ride, the rate changes to $0.35/minute.
This pass is not available to youth under the age of 19
New member applicants should bring their Leisure Access Pass receipt, Red Compass Card, Greater Vancouver Food Bank Membership Card or third party referral form.
Cash Membership
With the Community Pass, you have the option of paying for your membership with cash and do not have to have a credit card on file. Cash transactions will take place during in-person meetings with Mobi staff either during office hours, at community partner events, or at pre arranged appointments.
Credit Membership
Credit and Debit Credit cards are also accepted methods of payment. After completing the above form, Mobi staff will contact you to complete this sign up process.
Please note that pre-paid credit cards are not a valid form of payment.

- The Community Pass cost of $20.00 is one-time fee for the year and includes tax.
- You can still incur additional fees during your year of membership.
- Overage fees of $0.25/minute for classic bikes and $0.35/minute for ebikes will apply if you exceed your 60-minute ride limit.
- If you do not end your trip properly and the bike is left unlocked, a Late Return fee of $5.00 will apply each time this occurs.
- You can pay with cash, credit, debit, E-transfer, or in person.
- You can only pay with credit or E-transfer online.
Overage fees can be avoided by returning the bike to any of our 250+ stations around Vancouver before the 60-minute ride limit.
We reach out to pass-holders with any fees on a monthly basis to arrange payment and provide location details.
