Mobi is there for you even on your wedding day
A wedding is a momentous, memorable celebration of love shared with close family and friends. When the bride and groom, Danielle and John asked us to be part of their wedding day, we couldn’t resist.
We asked them why Mobi and what their experience was like?

Danielle’s response:
“We decided early on that we wanted to do a bike ride along Vancouver’s seawall as part of our wedding. We wanted something non-traditional and, we hoped our guests would remember our wedding as a fun and unique experience. Both our ceremony and reception locations were steps away from the seawall so our plan was to ride bikes from one location to the next with as many wedding guests as possible.
“We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make this work, as many of our guests were coming from out of town; bringing their own bikes along would be difficult. Many guests were concerned about where to store their bike during the reception and/or overnight and some didn’t own a bike. We thought about renting a fleet of bicycles, but were unsuccessful in figuring out how to return the bikes to the rental location it would be a one-way trip.
“We spent time over the summer of 2016 brainstorming how to make this work, with minimal success. We were about ready to give up when we started to see Mobi bike share program advertisements. Not only did it seem like a great program for our active and environmentally conscious city, but it also made us wonder whether this could be the answer we were looking for to make our wedding bike ride a success.
‘Our guests would not have to worry about transporting a bike to the ceremony, or returning a rental at the end of the day. Plus, those who did not own a bike could have the opportunity to participate in the fun. It was affordable, convenient and hassle-free.’
“Mobi made sure that there were enough bikes for about 30 of our guests on a busy, long weekend. Their customer service was fantastic and our bike ride could not have worked out better! Our guests are still raving about it 2 months later! We can’t thank Mobi enough for supporting our idea and helping us turn it into a stress-free reality. It was the perfect addition to our special day, and the memories will last a lifetime.”
