Mobi x RideLink!

Ridelink Mobile App Pilot

What is the pilot?

Mobi by Rogers has partnered with Translink, Modo, and Evo to beta test the Ridelink mobile app – a convenient one-stop shop that will connect users to a variety of transportation options across Metro Vancouver.

Why an app?

The app pilot will provide selected users with real-time locations on bike, car, and transit options! You can book and pay for trips all in one app with multiple providers. Over 50% of Mobi users already combine their Mobi trips with the bus or skytrain so providing one app is a step towards making this multi modal trip easier for them. Ride a Mobi bike to an available Modo car and then drive yourself to a transit hub to catch a train all in one app.

Pilot Program Overview

We're inviting customers from across Metro Vancouver to apply for the chance to be included in the 12-month pilot to test the user experience and functionality of the Ridelink mobile app. During this 12-month period Translink will gather feedback to assess whether this will become a permanent app in the future and apply upgrades to the software.

Translink will choose approximately 1,300 pilot participants through a careful selection process, considering various criteria to ensure that the chosen users are interested in using multiple mobility services, contributing to a thorough testing process. Once selected, participants can begin testing the app starting in March 2024.

What services will I have access to through RideLink?
All pilot users will have access to view and plan TransLink and Mobi services as soon as you register through the RideLink app. Once approved for carshare through RideLink, you will be able to book Modo carshare vehicles as well. These services will be enabled as part of the first phase of the RideLink pilot program. As part of the next phase of this pilot program, we will introduce the feature to reserve and book Evo carshare vehicles through your RideLink app.

All services will need to be accessed using the Compass Card connected to your RideLink account.
What if I have an existing Mobi pass and would like to switch to the pilot program?

At this time, we aren't able to provide refunds for members that have a monthly or annual pass and choose to switch to the pilot program. You will only be able to use the Pay-Per-Ride option with the pilot program and would not be able to switch your existing monthly or annual pass into the Ridelink app.

Applicants must sign up for Ridelink with an email address not currently associated with any Mobi accounts

What is this going to cost me and how will it be charged?
