Founding Member Launch : How to Get Started Riding Mobi 

Today we are launching Mobi to Founding Members with the first 23 operational stations and 250+ bikes.  Are you excited? We are!


We want to thank you for your patience, support and shared excitement. It has been a long time coming, and we are finally here!  Below are some outlined important details that will help answer all your questions. We look forward to seeing you on Mobi on the streets and don't forget to share your experience with us on social media! Tag yourself with #mobibikes to share your Mobi fun!
 
How to get started

Membership fob: Have you received or picked up your membership fob and welcome kit yet? We mailed out hundreds of kits today, so your kit might be in the mail right now. If you don't remember providing your address or you want to check on the status of your package please call us at 778-655-1800 or email info@mobibikes.ca. We will also be at different stations around town handing out welcome kits. See the list of demo stations below.

Activate your fob: Find the nearest available Mobi station and bike to activate your fob. Please note that once your fob is activated, it will be your "key" to access the bikes and your user code won't be usable anymore unless you call customer service to have it reset.
To activate your fob:
                 1) Press enter to wake up the bike
                 2) Press one
                 3) Scan your membership fob on top of the bike, "brain"
                     between the handlebars.
                 4) Enter your 4-digit PIN
                 5) Enter your 7-digit user code
                 6) Enter your PIN again
                 7) Scan your card again and you're done!

Ride without a fob: Don't have a fob yet? You can still get access to the bikes without a fob. Simply use your 7-digit user code that was emailed to you and follow the instructions on the bike. If you don't have a user code yet, contact us at info@mobibikes.ca or call 778-655-1800. Once you receive your fob, you can follow the instructions above.   

You're now ready to ride! Take the bike for a ride and return it to any of our active stations that have available docks.

What you need to know
Installed Stations: All the active stations will be posted online, however, some stations are not yet active. These will be clearly marked with a closed sign at the station. Please refer to the homepage for active stations and you can download a map of the first 23 active stations here. STATION MAP

Locking your bike: Make sure you wait 15 seconds and hear a singular beep when returning your bike to a dock. If you hear 3 beeps or no beep at all, your bike has not locked and your session has not ended. In that case please try another dock.

Helmets: Helmets will be provided at each station with the bike. Please attach the helmet to the lock as you found it.  If you have your own helmet, please ride with the Mobi helmet in the basket.

30min or 1 hour unlimited trips: Depending on which package you purchased, overage fees will apply if you go over your 30min or 1 hour time period. You can wake up the Smoove box at any time to see how long your ride has been so far.

Customer Service: Our customer service center will be open from 5am-9pm daily. Hours will be extended to 24/7 soon.

New website and App: Mobibikes.ca has launched! Track your trips, check bike availability, update your credit card information or learn more about us. The Mobi App will also launch soon.
