February Rider Challenge
The February Rider Challenge is back after our inaugural event in 2017 was a huge success. Our members surprised and impressed us by riding through heavy rain and snow. Our top winners shared stories of selling their cars and using Mobi by Shaw Go as their primary form of transportation. We’re excited to see what unfolds this year!
Challenge details:
The top 5 riders who take the highest number of trips* in the month of February will win one of the below prizes. A trip is defined as a ride 2+ minutes long. You can take as many trips in a day as you like. We will keep track of the number of trips you take and announce the highest trip counts weekly on social media. To keep track of your trips, visit our Mobi by Shaw Go app or log into our website. The winners will be announced on March 1, 2018.
Important*: For a trip to qualify in the challenge, the following requirements must be met:
- A ride must be 2+ minutes long. Rides lasting 1 minute 59 seconds or less will not be counted.
- A ride must be 50+ metres in distance. Rides covering 49 metres and less will not be counted.
- At least 5 minutes must pass between consecutive rides.
- Contest begins at 00:00 on Thursday February 1, 2018 and ends at 23:59 on Wednesday February 28, 2018.

2nd place: $100 Gift Card to MEC
3rd Place: $50 Gift Card to MEC
4th Place: $25 Gift Card to MEC
5th Place: $15 Gift Card to MEC
Size up your competition:
We had some committed Mobi-ers participate in the challenge last year. Last February, our top rider took 157 trips. That’s an average of 5 trips per day!
Get Bonus Points:
Share a picture of your Mobi by Shaw Go ride and you will get 1 trip added to your final count for each picture shared. Make sure to tag us @mobi_bikes and use hashtag #Mobichallenge for your picture to count. Feel free to post as many pictures as you like, every unique photo counts.
Rules and Regulations:
*Vancouver Bike Share Inc (VBS) reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Challenge at any time for any reason. Prizes will be distributed or withheld at the discretion of VBS. No monetary value will be given in exchange for prizes. By taking rides during the designated contest time period, all riders will be automatically entered unless Rider manually requests to opt out by contacting VBS at info@mobibikes.ca. All Rider information will be kept within the constraints of agreed upon privacy policy rules and will not be shared with third parties without expressed consent.
