1 Year Recap with Mobi by Shaw Go
Celebrate with us at Khatsahlano Fest
It has been an amazing year for Mobi by Shaw Go! From launching the program with thousands of excited Vancouverites already signed up as Founding Members; to watching our members integrating Mobi into their daily lives, to transforming the way our city gets around, it has already been quite a ride! A big thank you to our partners, members and sponsors for an incredible year!Take a look at some of the highlights from the past year:
July 20th: Vancouver Bike Share soft launched to Founding Members with 23 stations.
August 18th: Mobi officially launched to the public and started selling day passes and monthly memberships.
September: Mobi provided bikes at the Pro Walk/ Pro Bike/ Pro Place conference for hundreds of delegates. In the same month, Mobi also got hitched!
October: Our first big ridership milestone. Mobi reached 100,000 rides!
December: Shaw became Mobi’s official presenting sponsor. Mobi rebranded to Mobi by Shaw Go.
February: Mobi by Shaw Go launched its first Rider Challenge! Dedicated Mobi members rode through rain and snow competing to become the top 10 riders. The ridership challenge results were outstanding. During the same month, Mobi partnered with Shaw Communications to promote their #pinkshirtpromise.
April: Mobi by Shaw Go launched #BIKESAFE in partnership with Vancity and Hub cycling. The program strives to promote and educate safe cycling on Mobi bikes. Mobi also hit 200,000 rides this month.
May: The Corporate and Community Program was launched, allowing employees to get discount memberships through their organization.
